A. Miles Martin, President and Owner, Life Tribute Director, LFD, CFSP, CMFP, CPC, MAPP
Educated locally at St. Mary's Elementary School in Mt. Morris and Luke M. Powers Catholic High School in Flint. Upon graduating from high school he went on to attend the University of Nevada in Las Vegas studying management. Upon returning to Michigan, he attended Mott Community College in Flint and would go on to study Mortuary Science at Wayne State University in Detroit, graduating in the fall of 2003 and receiving his License to Practice Mortuary Science shortly thereafter.
As the president of Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, Adam is responsible for overseeing the direction and operations of the funeral homes.
Currently, Adam serves his community in many capacities. Locally he is a member of the Grand Blanc Rotary Club, the Grand Blanc Kiwanis, the Oaks at Woodfield of Grand Blanc Advisory Board, the chairperson of the Kiwanis/City of Mt. Morris Memorial Day Parade, the Knights of Columbus, the chairperson of the Bean Festival Parade in Fairgrove and is an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Mt. Morris.
Nationally, Adam was recently elected President-Elect of the International Order of the Golden Rule, Austin, Texas, (a group of independently owned funeral homes) after serving on their Board of Directors since 2013, he is also the President of the Golden Rule Foundation and serves on the board of directors for Funeral Technology Partners, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Jalynn Lassic, Life Tribute Director
Jalynn was raised in Grand Rapids and is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School with the class of 2007. She continued her education at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, graduating with the class of 2011, and then studied at Worsham College of Mortuary Science, graduating in 2015.
Before joining the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services staff in 2017, Jalynn worked as a funeral director for Bonney Watson Funeral Home in Washington, and for Family Funeral Services as a student intern.
Jalynn is a member of several community organizations, including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Mary Free Bed Junior Guild, and Junior League of Detroit. She is also a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids. She currently resides in Grand Blanc.
Jordan Scott, Life tribute apprentice
Jordan Scott was born in Flint and raised in Davison. He graduated from Davison High School with the class of 2016. He is now continuing his education at Mott Community College, where he studies mortuary science.
Prior to joining Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in 2016, Jordan worked at El Charrito’s Mexican Restaurant in Davison.
In his free time, Jordan serves as a volunteer youth hockey coach.
He currently resides in Burton with his grandparents.
